No matter if you love sports, nature, art, shopping or just want to get lost in your picturesque surroundings, South Africa offers the whole family a memorable experience.
Candy's Lodge is located on the banks of the Vaal River within the little village of Vaaloewer. The lodge offers a tranquil getaway halfway between the towns of Vanderbijlpark and Parys.
Accommodation at Candy's Lodge is provided in 4 different types of accommodation to suit all guests needs, from 2, 4 and 6 sleeper units - we can even offer a 10 sleeper with an interleading door. The units offer basic self-catering or full self-catering. There are no televisions in the units, but they are available in the two pubs. Sadly we are not wheelchair friendly. All linen and towels are supplied, but please bring towels for the pool.
The summer pub is built over the water, with amazing views, where guests can enjoy the sunset, whilst sipping cocktails. There is a widescreen TV for sports enthusiasts. The winter pub has a fireplace for the cool winter nights, 3 TVs and a pool table. There is also a restaurant on the premises with an a la carte menu and a well-loved Chef.
On-site activities include fishing, kayaking and a boat cruise where a variety of birdlife can be viewed.
The lodge is only 25 km from Vanderbijlpark and the Emerald Casino to the east, and 25 km from the town of Parys.

Was a wonderful holiday. The host and staff were so friendly and accommodating.

Peaceful. A perfect vista, with a well groomed lawn and a sparkling blue pool. Beautiful nature. Inside the rooms we found comfortable beds and lovely linen.
A spacious kitchen and warm water at all times.

It was very calm and quiet with lovely sunsets and beautiful animals in the early hours of the morning.
I had a lovely stay at Candy's sunset strip this weekend, the views are stunning and the sunsets more spectacular., great value for money.
