Der beste Ort für eine Übernnachtung in Barrydale an der Route 62.
Wir waren schon das 2te mal dort. Gastgeberin Stella lässt keine Wünsche unerfüllt. Vielen Dank. Der private Garten mit Pool ist wunderbar um zu entspannen.

Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir von den Eigentümern sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Zimmer befindet sich im Haupthaus wo auch die Eigentümer leben, am Abend gab es einen sundowner mit sehr interessanten Gesprächen über die Menschen, ihre Befindlichkeiten und auch über ihr Wohlbefinden in Barrydale. Barrydale selbst ist ein kleiner noch sehr friedvoller Ort ohne nennenswerte Kriminalität! Barrydale ist eine sehr schöne Gemeinde wo man auch gern mal ein Wochenende verbringen kann um auch tolle Touren zu unternehmen. Die Gastgeber sind aber das Mass der Dinge! Freundliche Menschen und auch noch Bodenständig. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt!
When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the owners. The room is located in the main house where the owners live, in the evening there was a sun downer with very interesting conversations about the people, their sensitivities and also about their well being in Barrydale. Barrydale itself is a small yet very peaceful place without significant crime! Barrydale is a very nice community where you can also spend a weekend to make great tours. But the hosts are the measure of things! Friendly people and also down to earth. The price-performance ratio is right!

Walking around the quiet town and finding the Karoo Art hotel where we had a lovely experience and dinner

Beautiful town with an eclectic, diverse population.
Beautiful little town, close enough to Cape Town for a weekend getaway. Lots of quaint little shops and restaurants to keep you busy, but also allows you to just relax and recharge.
Very popular stop on Route 62, you won’t be disappointed!
Diesel and Creme always worth a visit and the local brewery is also a great spot. The Tradouws pass itself is amazingly beautiful and worth a visit for a picnic and a swim.
