Just over three hours’ drive from Johannesburg and Bloemfontein and about two-and-a-half hours from Durban you will find the ATKV Drakensville holiday resort near the foothills of the Drakensberg Amphitheatre, a world heritage site.
ATKV Drakensville, with its breathtaking views, is surrounded by historical landmarks and offers access to numerous tourist attractions in the vicinity.
The resort has a variety of accommodation, adventure activities and recreational facilities, plus a restaurant, fast-food outlet, coffee shop and gift shop.

Please note: In the event of a cancellation, fees will be refunded as per the cancellation policy, however do note that there is also a non-refundable fee of R 95 per booking.
Please also note that No bathroom toiletries are provided, guests must please bring their own. Wifi is also limited to the common areas and does unfortunately not extend to the units.

Affordable, clean, well maintained, and friendly place to relax.
A lovely resort but no fireplaces in the units.

Hi, my stay at the VILLE was lovely, but cleaning service was terrible. They dnt scrub the shower, toilets are not cleaned properly, as for the kitchen there was no dish clothes to dry the dishes, no scouring item to wash the dishes, as for the sunlight liquid it was not enough, but overall it was a lovely place for resting.
An absolute enjoyable experience!. Very family orientated and child friendly with excellent facilities for entertainment. The heated pools were a blast for my whole family. Superb staff, very helpful especially the reception and gate employees. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you ATKV!
Like to give Drakensville resort 10/10 for good service friendly staff need and clean and we will be going back most friendly people from ground staff to top we did stay. From the 6/3/22 till 11/3/22 thanks Drakensville you tops and we have so much rest thanks.
We love Drakensville ATKV. This was our third time there but the first time camping . We all loved the slide that goes into the pool. My kids love being able to ride their bikes and they enjoy the jungle gym area..
We did find that the campsites are a bit overcrowded and because of this the communal bathroom was so busy that I often had to turn around and go back later. The indoor pool was a green color this time which was a bit off putting.
I recommend that people take their own drinking water as the water put the tap has s sulphar smell.

We enjoy it very much. This is the second time we visited Drakensville and experience is still as great as the first time ... keep it up.
We booked a B&B and unit and it was absolutely fantastic. The unit was clean and well set out with a small veranda and braai area outside. The breakfast was very good and the the staff very pleasant. Good service all round. We really enjoyed our stay and will book again.
Our stay at ATKV, although very cold outside, was a warming experience. Our children were able to enjoy the various outdoor jungle gyms and sleep soundly after a day of playing.
The staff in all areas were extremely helpful and friendly. I cant wait to come back!

We loved hiking at the Royal national park.
There are so many places of interest and lovely little restaurants to find.
The beautiful Mountain views and accessibility to surrounding restaurants and activities.
The Royal Natal National Park is beautiful (though some of the roads need to be redone). The Coffee Patch and Bingelela Restaurant were great places to eat.
ATKV Drakensville Resort is my first, hope to visit other interesting places later. Quietness and cleaness of the place, mostly warm swimming pools.
