La Lucia Beach: We are very literally 40 metres from La Lucia beach. This is ideal for fishing, laying in the sun or just taking a long walk.

Umgeni River Bird Park: This is just a 5 minute drive from our Durban North B&B. They have a great range of birds and daily bird shows. The bird park open 7 days a week and well worth the visit.

The Japanese Gardens: This beautiful garden is just a short drive from from our Durban North B&B and is an ideal breakaway with a walk or picnic in these beautiful gardens. They are very busy on Sundays with locals enjoying the garden.

The Durban Beach Front: The beach front is about a 15 minute drive from our Durban North B&B. Here you have a wide range of activities to enjoy including Fun World, a Skate Board Range, A snake Farm, Mini Town, a selection of bars and restaurants, local stall with arts amnd crafts and of course, Ushaka Marine World.

World Class Beaches: Just a 3 km drive from our Durban North B&B you will find Umhlanga Beach for a great Day out enjoying the golden sands and warm Indian Ocean. You can also visit Durban beach front's North and South Beaches. North Beach is a bit remote but South Beach is close to all the amusements and restaurants.

Shopping or a Day Out: For everything in one place there are two shopping malls that our Durban North B&B is not far from Gateway Theatre of Shopping in Umhlanga. At Gateway you can very literally shop, enjoy a wide range of restaurants, see a movie, climb a wall of stone or even surf. By Comparrison, Westville's Pavillion Shopping Mall is very similar to gateway and here you can also shop, eat and see a movie. Just over the freeway from our Durban North B&B is La Lucia Mall. Here there are a lot of shops and a few restaurants but does not have the activities that both Gateway and Pavillion offer.

A Night at the Theatre: Durban has nearly 14 really good theaters from the standard theatres to dinner theatres. These include Barnyard Theatre - Gateway, Catalina Theatre, Courtyard Theatre, Dockyard Theatre, Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre, Heritage Theatre, iZulu Theatre, KwaSuka Theatre, Playhouse Opera Theatre, Rhumbelow Theatre, Seabrookes Theatre, St Annes’ College Theatre, The Boho and The Playhouse Loft.
