Oversize luxury rooms each with open fireplace. We are located in the heart of the KZN Midlands surrounded by premier sport destinations and local Midlands crafts.
Conference facilities available for up to 40 People and our premier wedding venue that caters for up to 250 guests and our on site chapel that seats 110.
Satellite TV as well as tea/ coffee facilities in spacious bedrooms with separate on suite bathrooms.
Area Information:Built in the 1830's, this original fortified homestead was once a wagon stopover to the interior. 1 metre thick walls and high ceilings allow this manor house to remain steeped in history while remaining fresh to the modern traveller. The boutique hotel has a exceptional view of the Karkloof Valley and is the ideal stopover for travellers or to simply relax.
The hotel is surrounded by 250 acres of big trees and beautiful gardens, expanse of lawns, forest, and abundant bird life. Warm highland air is clear and the mist comes rolling up the valley enveloping all around giving a feeling of solitude and romance and yes the spring of clear water still flows all year round.

Old world charm meets Country Inn - a wonderful overnight stay. Joe and his team offer the whole package - Great food, comfy beds and awesome Blacksmith coffee - pretty special to wake up in the misty Midlands. Definitely will be back.

It was excellent, staff was friendly and the meals were great, the place was very neat.
We had a short overnight stay here, during our trip through the midlands. Warm hospitality, great rooms, really friendly and hospitable staff. Breakfast that was included was great, as well as accommodation was well priced, good value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back and recommend to others looking to stay in the midlands.

The family environment with plenty to do - something to appeal to everyone. Loads of fresh air, and plenty of sight-seeing out in nature...rolling hills, farmlands, little pieces of serenity in the middle of our province; arts and crafts and home made goodies...was just great to unwind and relax and just enjoy the beauty of nature.
