Uniquely designed and spacious B&B, relaxing atmosphere with non-smoking en-suite rooms overlooking the 250 ha indigenous Dilinza Forest, home to 132 tree species and more than 65 bird species. The evergreen parklike garden contributes to the home away from home feeling on arrival. The famous (SA's first and only) Aerial Boardwalk situated in this forest is approx. 3km away. We have secure undercover parking and the property is completely fenced in with security gates for your peace of mind. Continental and/or English breakfast are served and includes homemade bread and jams, fruit salad, & yoghurt. Supper can be arranged on request. The nearest swimming beach is approx. 30km's away. Game Reserves, Pobane Lake, Zulu cultural tours, bird watching and fishing are some of the activities around.

Area Information:Eshowe is the oldest town of European settlement in Zululand. Eshowe's name is said to be inspired by the sound of wind blowing through the more than 4 km² of the indigenous Dhlinza Forest, the most important and striking feature of the town. Although the name is most likely to be derived from the Zulu word for the xysmalobium shrubs, showe or shongwe. Today Eshowe is a market town, with a 100 km radius catchment area, two shopping centres, a main bus station serving the hinterland, a major hospital, and several schools.

Attractions:Eshowe Golf Club - (less than 5km away), One of the oldest golf courses in Kwa-Zulu Natal, the course was designed in 1907. Excellent country club facilities and lovely surroundings. Dlinza Forest Nature Reserve - This dense forest contains many species of hardwoods, forest climbers, and dense undergrowth, especially fern species. There are small grassy glades in and around the forest margins. Mpushini Falls and Trail - This is a historic site from the time of King Shaka where maidens used to bathe. Phobane Lake - From Eshowe head towards Melmoth/Ulundi on the R66. About 10km out of Eshowe is a dirt road to your left (signposted Phobane Lake and Shakaland). Other attractions in Eshowe are Monuments and Memorials such as, Fort Nongqayi, KwaMondi Mission Station, The Residency, Eshowe Gaol, King Cetshwayo's Memorial, 1st and 2nd World War Memorial, KwaBulawayo and Coward's Bush.

Very brief stay, though lovely and immaculate.
I had a wonderful time and enjoyed myself.
My stay was good, no problems, lovely place and 100% service from the staff.
Krista was very welcoming to us, and accommodated our specific needs. We were there for my mother's memorial service. The grounds are beautifully gardened, which is fun for me as a gardener myself. Had a load of laundry done. A great place to stay.
