Queen, 3/4 and single beds, fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, two-plate gas or electric stove, kettle and toaster are in the Cottages. Covered stoeps with lovely views over farm and of mountains. There are braai facilities in the gardens. Beautiful mountain views.
Area Information:Ladismith is one of the most scenic towns along Route 62 with it's iconic Towerkop Mountain peak which can be seen from miles around. The friendly town has a unique history and many architecturally unique historic buildings. The famous 50 year old Oom Stanley's light on Elandsberg above the town indicates the water flow to the town. There are numerous mountain trails to explore around Ladismith.
Seweweekspoort is a must-see day trip and there are many mountain passes for more day trips.
Other delightful restaurants and interesting shops await your visit in and around the town.
The Country Garden Guest Farm is a working farm so you will have the opportunity to interact directly with the animals and help feed them: pigs, sheep, rabbits, chickens and goats. A children's paradise!

We had a relaxing stay at the Manor House. Dams and swimming pool are a short drive away. We were a large family and we never felt cramped for one second.
A perfect spot to get away and enjoy nature, bird watching and star gazing without interruptions from you cell phone. You can nip to reception for your wifi fix.
Cottages are well equiped for self-catering with comfy beds and nice linen and towels.
Gerda, Bernard and their children are friendly and made us feel most welcome.
I came home with yummy homemade jams and ricotta cheese. A lovely stay which we will do again.
It was most enjoyable. With no cellphone reception, we got a chance to relax and recharge. We will strongly recommend The Country Garden Farm for anyone looking for a place to really chill. It was awesome to listen to the chickens, geese and goats and buy some homemade tomato jam that is very tasty. An absolute blessing.
My family and I had a wonderful 4 night stay at Manor House, which comfortably accommodated 6 adults and 3 young children. It was a beautiful peaceful setting and the children loved exploring the rambling garden and feeding the farm animals every day. The host family were really helpful and welcoming and it was wonderful to be able to purchase freshly baked bread, biscuits and homemade produce. There is a beautiful kloof to visit, plenty of farm roads to walk/run on and a lovely little hike up the koppie to enjoy the view. The bird-life and spring flowers were beautiful too! A tranquil spot for a family getaway to escape city life.
The Country Garden is always a wonderful experience for us, especially the children. We slept in the Manor House this year and found it very charming and well equipped.
Actually I liked my stay in The Country Garden Farm, it was an amazing time, a quiet and peaceful environment.
Host family were helpful without interfering and their kids were so kind and polite. My kids enjoyed the spent time with the animals.
All in all its a perfect place to go away from city noises and have a spiritual break.
Our stay was awesome. We enjoyed it very much. Would certainly visit again and recommend to others.
