Great experience every time I stay at the Barracks. Clean, Spacious, more than expected. Friendly and accommodating host. 10/10 highly recommend!
Such a nice place to stay with charming hosts and well equipped rooms. Nice linen, air-con, fridge etc. I really love that each room has it's own little covered veranda with chairs and table. Ideal for that late afternoon drink before setting off to dinner down the road.
Really had an amazing one night stay at the Barracks in Colesburg. Mike and Annnaline were so accommodating, treated us as long lost friends. The rooms were very well appointed and spotless. Breakfast was great too. Will definitely stay there again when going through Colesburg.

We stayed at Colesberg for the night, while travelling from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Staying at Little Farm, we enjoyed a light dinner and the most delicious slap chips, while enjoying the pet-friendly and child friend outdoor area.

Well positioned between Gauteng and the Cape Coast
The beautiful accommodation and their cleanliness.
Colesberg the town has really gone down, rubbish everywhere, dirty and dusty. However as we stayed in the wonderful lodge outside of the town, we will overnight again in the area, as it is in the middle of Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Friendly people and just the right distance from Gauteng to take a break.
Spectacular view of animals and the mountains.
The roads are in great condition, we did not go into the town.
