Located on the banks of the timeless Orange River in Upington, Africa River Lodge offers comfortable accommodation for leisure or corporate travellers. The lodge boasts picturesque river-view sunsets, and is also ideally situated within close proximity to the town centre.
Accommodation comprises various individually decorated Double Rooms and Family Cottages, which can accommodate between 2 to 4 guests. Each unit features an en-suite bathroom and contains amenities such as air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi access, a TV with selected DStv channels, a tea and coffee station, a desk, a safe to store valuables, and other amenities for comfort. Each room opens to the courtyard or garden area.
Breakfast and other hearty meals can be ordered and enjoyed in the in-house restaurant. The lodge boasts a bar and wine cellar, a guest lounge with a library and a cosy fireplace, as well as conference facilities that can be hired for weddings, team buildings, or other special events. Laundry and babysitting services are by arrangement. For hunting tour groups, braai and freezer facilities can be arranged.
Africa River Lodge is situated within close proximity to shops, restaurants, hospitals, and other businesses. Upington International Airport is located approximately 7 km away.

Great weather. Stayed at Modern Executive Apartment in Schröder street. Beautiful, peaceful and safe place. I enjoyed the friendly people of Upington and the nice restaurants. Mr D also delivered promptly. Will be back again.
Has everything you'd need to top up or get on your way to Namibia, Botswana, or the far west coast. Amazing stat-over options, and amazing people.
Orange river, wine farms and wide open spaces
Nice place, great places to visit and wine tasting lovely.
The scenery.
The people seem friendlier and more polite than the city folks. The atmosphere seems relatively low-stressed.
Great mall and friendly people in Upington.
Upington is one of my favorite towns in South Africa. It is pristine, clean, people are friendly and helpful. Lots of things to do. Plenty accommodation to choose from. A perfect stop-over to and from Namibia.
Good to visit my birth town and see the growth.
