Laguna Camp and Bungalow Resort is situated only 180km’s north of Mozambique’s capital Maputo. Set in a prime location on top of the sand dunes overlooking the breath-taking Uembje lagoon. Surrounded by coconut palms, white sandy lagoon beaches and glimmering blue waters.
The tranquil setting is perfect for the discerning holiday maker wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to relax. Bilene is the nearest local town located a short 7kms from LAGUNA and is easily accessible by regular vehicles driving with care. 4x4’s are required when pulling a boat,
caravan or trailer.
LAGUNA has been carefully laid out with great consideration to our guests to not overcrowd our haven and allow each group or family to enjoy the privacy amongst the beauty. The campsites and chalets are nestled between shady trees.
The resort has a fully licensed restaurant and bar with a beer
garden wrapped around the swimming pool. The menu is
standard and comprises of traditional Mozambican dishes that are
delectable such as peri-peri chicken and mouth watering seafood as well as Pregos for the discerning meat lover.
LAGUNA has its own private beach on the banks of the lagoon which is an easy walk down from the resort area. The lagoon gently slopes from shallow to deep water and allows you and your family to enjoy the cool calm waters.

An exceptional place to stay. Staff, management and the owner are perfect hosts and go out of their way to accommodate and assist their guests. I will recommend Laguna any day, and we will be back!

Very nice camp sites, well mainted. Could put in some swings and slides for kids. Would be nice if TV room was seperate from restaurant so that when restaurant closed early, kids could still watch TV. Think that they should in their info, state that the lagoon is quite shallow for a quite a bit and that the mouth is dangerous to go out with a boat to sea. Launching a boat from the beach there is a problem due to the shallowness of the lagoon for at least 50m. Some of the other resorts have made jetties to eliminate this problem. Service of staff quite good, however, when restaurant got busy, service was an issue. Their breakfast is really good and value for money - had this on more than one occassion.
My kids thoroughtly enjoyed the stay. The camp is relaxed and picturesque. The lagoon is perfect for children. The boat trip to the ocean was inexpensive and great fun. The restuarant at the camp was excellent. There were alot of mosquito's however the insect repellent kept them from biting. I will definitely be going back.
A truly wonderful place to stay and fantastic value for money! Will definitely return in 2011!
